Came here for a meeting, reallly nice venue, lots of parking and food was lovely...has a coffee shop inside too
The hotel is just off junction 10 of the m6 great car park good check in ok size room but with only a few rooms booked we would have thought hotel would give you a room with a nicer view rather than the back of the hotel beds good shower shocking it kept changing heat levels by its self not good didn’t complain as it was Christmas eve
I stayed at the Village Hotel twice within a 10 day period. Overall, I had a very good experience. Booking, checking in and checking out was straightforward. The room was well appointed and clean. My floor lamp wasn't working and because of Covid restrictions, I couldn't have maintenance in to fix it so was offered another room straight away. This is by no means a plush hotel but it offered good value. The star of the show (and the reason for my 5 star rating) was a member of staff called Liam. He offered a warm and friendly welcome on arrival, was very helpful in recommending a local food service. Nothing was too much trouble and I was so happy that he was on duty when I arrived for my 2nd stay! Big thanks to Liam for excellent customer service. You made my stay feel like home away from home which is exactly what I look for in a hotel stay! Every hotel needs a Liam!
Nice place to stay. Tidy rooms for a reasonable price. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food service is so so, better off eating in the pub downstairs.
Good value for money. Decent size rooms with a nice breakfast.
Great place to stay very comfy beds and clean rooms
Nice friendly staff
Just wanted to mentioned how covid safe we thought the hotel was... very impressed.
All the staff were helpful and pleasant but just wanted to mention Demi from the gym and Jill who served breakfasts.
I liked the rooms in this hotel very much and slept well. There are some downsides though.

Tv - poor choice of channels
Parking - cheeky to charge when only the hotel sits on the land and the hotel right next door had free parking
Self check-in - didn't feel welcoming. Can't beat a personal touch
We stopped here to visit family and friends in Walsall on our way to Weymouth the booking was originally for April this year but due to the COVID outbreak the trip was cancelled and rescheduled for October the Hotel is easy to get to travelling from Scotland off junction 10 on the M6 brilliant my wife is disabled and there was easy access for a disabled bay and ramp to access the Hotel check in was painless and quick all COVID protocols are good the room is excellent facilities are great however a little warm our own fault as we didn’t make use of the Dyson fan till the morning the first evening however I struggled to buy a drink for us and guests as I was told to get the village app on my phone which I struggled to do not being ict literate the service assistant was a bit abrupt and rather unhelpful she also said I could charge drinks to our room which I said was good I was then told to check my room was open” I felt she should have done this as I was the guest and at this point another assistant came and offered to help certainly more helpful I explained all I wanted was a drink for the group and felt I was getting a runaround she apologised and offered a complementary drink for our troubles but unfortunately this was withdrawn and eventually this assistant took my room number and assured me my drink order would be taken soon the original assistant served me I gave my room number and name when the order was served she again asked me for my name and room number again we only stayed for one drink and left the following morning our breakfast was cold I complained and it was replaced very quickly which we enjoyed the waitress this morning was extremely helpful so far so good we are here for one more night so in summing up with the exception of the disappointing service the previous evening we are enjoying our stay and we would come back when visiting Walsall
We enjoyed a lovely meal with my husband. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. We felt sorry for waiting staff as there were few awful customers who treated restaurant staff like dirt.
Thank you guys for the great evening you are doing great job despite the Covid restrictions.
Amazing service at this gym yesterday
Spoke to a lady called Georgia whose customer service was amazing really went above and beyond , all staff are so professional and helpful whenever I visit , the village has to be the best gym in Walsall by far keep up the good work guys !!!!!!!
As my foreign holiday had been cancelled & as a key worker I thought I deserved a treat. While not far from home Village Hotel Walsall looked a good overnight stay from home.
Got to admit I was impressed by the covid secure measures that are in place ie contact less booking in, sanitiser stations where needed, the contact less ordering of food and drink in the bar area.
Well done to all staff while still having to explain the basics of the covid measures to those members of the public who still can't follow simple instructions. I witnessed a few numpties who were dealt with professionally.
Loved this hotel
Our third party hotel booker yet again messed up out dates are horrendous to deal with when they mess up. Mike on reception went out of his way to really help us swap our dates to the one we needed. Really cannot thank Mike enough so our stay wasn't ruined and our little boy still happy. Cannot thank Mike enough for a smooth stay and avoid the hassle of the third party. Mike's customer service was impeccable
Good value hotel with everything you need on site - decent restaurant and a Starbucks, a swimming pool for £5pp too. Would definitely book a Village hotel again if I need to stop over a night somewhere to break up a long journey.
Safe- covid measures really sensible and well enforced
Room was big and comfy

Some staff allowed ordering at the bar, others didn’t. Very confusing.
Ordered 3 meals on the app, only 2 arrived. Re-ordered at the bar, still didn’t arrive. Very annoying. Staff were helpful but I still left unfed!
Breakfast was good but had to ask twice for some coffee as it got forgotten.

Overall, accommodation was good but food service very poor.
Full covid methods in place the whole of our two day stay.Efficient staff on hand to enforce the rules. They had only started to serve breakfasts this week, limited selection but very well organised and hot. Tables in the restaraunt in the evening well spaced everything brought to you all staff wore masks.Cleaning of room would only be done at the end of your stay but if there was a problem they would sort it. Change of towels, put in large plastic bag and leave outside of your room. One negative comment the people comming in to use the gym facilities did not have masks on, not sure why they think they were exempt??
Booked the special rate when the hotel was allowed to reopen. Had a great stay even though not all facilities were allowed. Staff dealt well with the new rules and policies in place. . All staff really helpful and polite.
Been at the gym a few years now and wanted to give credit where credit is due the gym team are doing a fantastic job with the cleanliness there and cleaning the equipment, spin studio and studios after each and every use .

Big thanks to Julie who has helped sort out my membership as there is a few teething problems with the app - which I have now sorted,- she s always helpful and always smiling.

If you haven’t tried them - give them a go Katie’s spin classes are fantastic , full of energy, and great tunes

Keep up the good work :)
Really great service earlier when I called trying to make a last minute booking I couldn’t get through to the restaurant, I phoned through to the leisure reception and Julie kindly went upstairs to make my reservation and called me back to confirm, on arrival we had a lovely lunchtime snack, superfood salad / Salmon, brilliant service from Tammy who also went the extra mile to look after us. Great location if you need a break just off J10 M6.
A nice hotel. Pleasant food for breakfast. Sadly the last visit was cancelled for lockdown reasons. See you on the other side.
With 15 other girls for a hen party last Friday night ...3 course meal ...everything was great - food- act- customer service- but the cost of the drinks was horrendous ..however..would still recommend
This property amazes me. The rooms are still in the same condition but the feel has changed. The restaurant which struggled in the past has transformed to a sports bar and replaced local pub culture. The food is horrible but the atmosphere buzzing . The place is alive. I am not sure what makes it work, but it definitely is working- try it.
What a great hotel, the rooms are fantastic with everything from a 50” tv with Sky to a Dyson air fan.

The food is exceptional and the staff are really friendly.

The spa was great but very busy.

Overall, I would highly recommend.
Club Room was a good size, reasonably well equipped and clean. All rooms rather noisy though so not a place for a quiet night. Club rooms at Holiday Inn just down the road (M6/Junction 7) have more on offer - Dressing Gown, Free bottled water and choccy bar/biccies for about the same price.
Bar/restaurant is one huge room in sports-bar style - Busy and noisy. Often long waits at the bar to order drinks/food in the evening. Food typically over-priced as in all hotels.
Evening meals fine, ditto breakfast but all very ordinary and typical mass catering.
Large lovely swimming pool.
Automated check-in/out and car registration with often nobody on hand to help can be pain if you have any queries.
Impossible to contact staff from your room - Tried via the web site/App route that they offer but no reply after 40 minutes.
I was running a course here so we had also hired conference facilities - They were fine, although lunches very disappointing as mainly warmed up leftovers from night before and dried-out sandwiches.
BIG PLUS: Overall all the staff I interfaced with were very helpful. However, as already mentioned getting hold of them is not easy...
