We arrived to a red carpet welcome. We had a three course meal and a comedian and a disco followed until 1 pm.
We really had a relaxed and enjoyable night.
The only downside was the drinks were quite expensive a bottle of Pinot was £25 and a pint cost £4.25.

From day 1 the bartenders have made sure i was taken care of. Big-ups to shannon, tammy and Kerry. All made sure i was in good hands from the very beginning. Must see hotel/bar if in the area. Oh yeah I'm from NYC and so is Tamny, who will take good care of you as well as sll the other bartenders.

We had booked a training room at The Village Walsall to hold 3 workshops over the course of a day and evening. We do these regularly with work and have used this venue before. I felt strongly about reviewing the experience as the service really was second to none. The event staff were truly excellent and extremely attentive - nothing was too much trouble. Kevin looked after us in the day and then Amu on the night (sorry Amu, hope I’ve got your name right). Thank you so much to both gents, you helped us greatly and because of you the day and evening went very well! We’ll be back soon that’s for sure.

Served by Shannon, Megan & Mash, amazing service, nothing was too much trouble, a credit to the hotel!! Will definitely book here again!! Food was amazing, great value for money. Bar was very busy but they all worked as a team. The hotel should be proud of these 3!!

A Dutch customer of ours recently stayed at the Village, however, on arrival at the Airport realised they had lost their passport. I rang the Village and Julie went above and beyond to locate the missing passport! I was able to pick it up and get it to our customer to make another flight! Just want to say thank you to Julie at the Village for her help!

Very good hotel. Rooms are comfortable. One thing though there is no air conditioning so in the summer it could be quite stuffy. Luckily it wasn't that warm when we went. Good parking facilities. Rooms nicely serviced, beds are very comfortable Vending machines for bottled water and chocolate. One thing I did find strange was the machines only took cash especially in this day and age thought it would be card payments as well. Hotel nicely furnished and the food was good. Breakfast there is a good selection with plenty of it. Staff were very helpful and friendly

What makes this hotel great is there staff in particular Joanne, how refreshing it is to have a member of staff genuinely interested in wether you have a good time or not, Joanne went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcomed, nothing was too much trouble for her.

Stayed at the Village hotel in Walsall ahead of a conference at the NEC Birmingham, this is a nice hotel with it's own bar and gym attached. The rooms are spacious, even if taking out the cheaper option rooms. Television and tea making facilities, iron and board, hair dryer etc. A good nights sleep but the breakfast was not up to any stand

Half of our family live in County Durham so we met together to have a one night stay and have a meal.It was a good night good atmosphere the only thing missing was after the meal a more quieter lounge or bar to retire to to have a natter. But the value with the offers were very good value and I will certainly keep a watch out for these offers and do it again.

Booked in advance and planned the event with friends. However, having a shower getting ready wasn’t a pleasant experience. The water was constantly hot and cold kept adjusting it. I did not want to step out and call venue as it’s time consuming and would delay getting ready.

The room was clean and comfortable although I booked for a room with a king size bed and was given a room with two singles. Staff were friendly and helpful both at hotel reception and at the gym/pool reception.

I have stayed at Village Hotels before and generally they are fairly consistent. However, the Walsall Village Hotel fell below my expectations.
Generally the facilities were great, I used the gym which was clean and full of plenty of equipment, the meeting rooms were modern and functional and my room was spacious and comfortable.
Where this hotel was let down hugely was in the restaurant area. On the first day we ordered via the advertised app. Half an hour later I enquired having not received the drinks and we were told there was a problem with the app! So our orders were written down and taken to the kitchen but another half an hour later I had to enquire again as people who ordered after us were receiving (and had nearly finished) their food and we were still waiting. We had only ordered wraps!
At dinner we had reserved a table but they hadn't reserved one for us. They did rectify this and were helpful and apologetic but it all felt a little unorganised.
In my room there was also a fairly major maintenence issue which caused the carpet to be wet through by the bathroom. I put a bath mat over the wet floor to avoid standing on it but in the morning it had turned yellow so indicated a bigger problem. I did report this in the morning and they wrote it down and said they would fix with the maintenance team.
Overall, the issues did add up and were further impacted by the fact that even though there was a 'sorry' after each incident I didn't feel like the staff were attentive and proactive to prevent it from happening again.
Overall this place has the potential to be excellent but it does just need a few tweaks to get there!

Hotel was clean enough but very un welcoming , check in via a screen no welcome as such. The Village grill I would avoid at all costs, food dreadful and service even worse. Waited ages to get food which was then wrong and then took another 30 minutes to get new order by which time my partner had finished hers and was waiting for me... Avoided for the rest of our stay.

We held our Christmas party at The Village Walsall . There were 90 of us in a shared party and everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed the night. The food and Disco were both excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Thought it was great value for money and highly recommend .

Some confusion with check in and payment, online booking had not registered additional requests. I thought I had already paid online, then had to pay on arrival this has happened before. The area in the bar where you sit was dirty. Breakfast had limited options with little consideration for dietary restrictions or requirements. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My nephew booked on Black Friday and paid almost half the cost of my family room. Used the gym and pool all good.

Stayed one night, hotel rooms as usual very good, excellent nights sleep, breakfast very good (just ask staff for a pot of tea, ignore the silly flask system) negative points were, the new car parking charges, another american idea to squeeze money out of guests, also the restaurant is like the moon, no atmosphere. Too bright, awful music and too many TVs.

Mum and daughter mini-getaway. As usual what a wonderful hotel, lovely pool and facilities, Starbucks in foyer and large restaurant with fab food. All staff were very curteous and helpful and went out of their way to help.

We stayed in a Club Room and it was large with a huge TV and a very comfy bed.

Me and my daughter had a lovely mini-break and will be back soon xx

I have been meaning to write this review for some time but words cannot express how grateful I am for the staff here. My family and I stayed here in March 2019 as a family member was hosting a party locally. Sadly during the party, the relatives house was broken in to which we were notified of upon arriving at the hotel after the party had finished. This was obviously a distressing time for us all but the staff working were absolutely fabulous and went well beyond their job roles. Staff members called taxis to travel back to the relatives house, comforted myself and other people whilst we remained at the hotel and even arranged late check out due to the timings of night. I cannot express how greatful my family and I are, the staff were exceptional. Thank you go everybody working that night and morning.
The hotel itself is clean, modern and comfy. We regularly come here for dinner and would recommend it to anyone.

Great staff, good rooms and fantastic location if you have a car. The only minus for me was a 5 pound per day charge for parking. With the space available this is no right. Apart from this a great experience. I will return.
