Bolton College and Bolton Council hosted an event last week to celebrate another year of resounding success for their Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC) programme.
Eight organisations supported by the initiative came together to share their individual success stories, at the event held at Brownlow Fold Community Learning Centre in Halliwell.

A local father of three has been recognised for his commitment to learning, after he was nominated for a prestigious award by Bolton Wanderers captain, Kevin Davies.

A Bolton College student, with an ambition to become a motor sports engineer, has been awarded with the accolade of Student of the Year. 18-year-old Adam Turner, received the award for his excellent work in the Motor Vehicle Department, on Thursday 21 June.

Hairdressing apprentices from Bolton College proved that they’re cream of the ‘crop’, after taking part in a competition to recognise their outstanding skills and abilities. Read more about their success here.
