Adam outpaced his classmates as he completed a Level 2 NVQ diploma in performing engineering operations, a Level 2 diploma in welding and fabrication engineering technology and an IMI in motor vehicle studies. On top of these excellent achievements, Adam’s detailed course portfolio gained him an outstanding 85 per cent for his efforts.

David Carr, lecturer at the Bolton College Motor Vehicle Department, commented: "Adam has been a valued member of the student body and has shown commitment and a hard-working ethic that is second-to-none.”

Adam passed his course with flying colours, but it was his ambition and enthusiasm that made him the frontrunner for the award.

David continued: "Adam has always been a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of the team and is certainly a worthy winner of this award."

Adam said: “I can’t believe I have won the Student of the Year award! I loved completing the course, so I am over the moon that my hard efforts have paid off. I’m now hoping to go on to achieve my dream of becoming a motorsports engine specialist.”
