Rooms are great .. lots of space & good facilities.
Our company won't use this hotel again. I took my small team out for a much needed get together. Returning from our meal out we returned to the hotel for a night cap but after ordering (which was a battle in itself!) We were told at 11pm we must return to our rooms to have our drinks. Very poor communication and service .. not a suitable hotel if you want to relax with friends for a nightcap. After this I will not be returning with my team. Shame as otherwise a pleasant hotel.

We went for a couple of nights just to get away , the hotel is really clean and tidy . And the staff are simply a credit to the hotel , especially Mash behind the bar , she was extremely friendly. Make she you look out for her . My biggest issue is the breakfast , although the intentions are good they simply completely lack good food . The taste is mediocre but the selection is really basic , no option for anything except scrambled egg . No fried bread or hash browns , I lost count how many people asked for them . Really disappointing since there is no mention of this when booking the breakfast and the price is not reduced to reflect this . Still the same price even though half the selection. Had it not been for the staff I would of certainly been unhappy . Now I know we are in a pandemic but if there is food being cooked why not have a “full” breakfast .

My husband and I went for a meal after using the pool . We had not been in since the new restrictions. The young lady was very helpful and talked my husband through using the app to order . She then quickly returned with our drinks and also bought a menu . We then ordered food and more drinks which were also bought very efficiently. The food was amazing very tasty very well presented service and attentiveness and food 10 out of 10 . Will definitely be dining in there again .

After a difficult time finding a hotel in wallsall area due to poor quality, over pricing but most importantly poor customer service my 5 month pregnant partner, our 3year old daughter and i finally arrived at The Village at 3am.

It was great from the moment we arrived great quality, great value and perfect customer service. I think the Mrs and i forgot we were dog tired as we spoke to the receptionist while he booked us in because he was courteous, nice and gave us a shortened version of the check in guide.

The room we were allocated was comfortable, clean, big enough for our little one to run around while the sofa bed was laid out too. Black out curtains worked a treat as we almost missed breakfast. Clear social distancing practices were being followed, we (I) would have used the gym/pool if we were staying longer.

Breakfast was good just a couple of over cooked sausages which after all the great customer service i could easily close my eyes 😁over look.

Will most definitely be staying at one of these again.

Upgraded to Club Room at no extra cost. Have stayed in a few club rooms before, but at this hotel they are not the most modern or luxurious. Negative was room was far too hot. One air fan not enough to cool room down - no air conditioning. Plus point that bed was firm (which I prefer) and I slept well.

Evening meal menu choice was very very poor - bar menu that was heavy on burgers. I had the mussels (only choice that appealed from the limited non burger options) and to be fair they were great with a lovely beer and cream sauce. Breakfast came pre-plated but very pleasant.

I stayed on sat night along with my brother
we’d come down to Walsall to visit my dad’s grave so was a emotional day to start with ,, but the staff at the hotel in particular Joanne and Kerry an another lady who’s name we didn’t catch made our stay really good ,, made us feel fully welcomed when we want into the bar & restaurant area nothing was to much trouble for them even when we asked if could have a pint glass of ice to take back to room we got to big pint glasses full of ice ,, our food an drinks were always prompt an once we’d got hang of the app to order from was easy even when it crashed it was just a matter of restarting the app ,, once again I’d like to thank all the staff we dealt with but a big thanks to Joanne, Kerry an the lady who’s name we didn’t catch

Poor facilities - toilet (only one) and food average at best. Wouldn’t avoid but also wouldn’t rush back.

Only my second time staying at the Village Hotel Walsall, great friendly welcome by the reception team at 15.20pm .
Staying in room 205 while if I was very picky I noticed a stain on the carpet by the mirror & some untidiness around the toilet door handle. However this did not distract from a great night's sleep after some great tasty food & a few beers.
Great staff, great service & great food n drink.

This seemed quite a new hotel, so things seemed very modern.

Location was a bit iffy, but only because there are roadworks nearby, making it slightly tricky to navigate.

The man on reception at my 11pm arrival was really welcoming and friendly, and seemed like nothing was too much trouble.

The room was really nicely decorated, and had a Dyson Airblade fan. The bathroom was fine, though the shower only had a half-screen, so water splashed onto the floor unless I directed the shower-head to its lowest setting, making the effective shower fairly small.

Breakfast was fine and tasty - though nothing spectacular. I'd have liked to have been asked how I wanted my eggs (fried or poached please) rather than the default of scrambled.

But these are. minor quibbles, I thought the hotel was great, and the staff superb. And very good value for money.

Though parking was chargeable, which I didn't realise - but it was only £5 overnight, so not unreasonable.

Ten out of ten for the most friendly welcome ever, I arrived after a horrible journey and they were all brilliant, really went the extra mile in every way. The lady on reception ( Faye/Kay ?) I'm awful with names, the very personable guy on the coffee bar was also lovely and clearly remembered me from the day before. The hotel was busy and yet there was still plenty of time for the personal touch. I will be back, I love village hotels !

Overall a good experience, due to Covid restrictions the restruant is only open for room service & breakfast is in a bag served from the Starbucks counter.
Breakfast is okay, instant coffee (yes from Starbicks) & as previously commented on the bacon roll is pre made & microwaved/cooked, making it greasy, very sad looking & not particularly appetizing. (I've stayed in other hotels for work during the Covid restrictions & their takeaway breakfast has been far better quality and hot breakfast roll cooked fresh). If my company hadn't paid for it I wouldn't bother with it & feel you would get a better breakfast at Mcdonnalds.

Easy to get to. easy access to the city. Take your swimsiut with you. the hotel has great fitness and swim area (sauna, jacuzzi & steam room) the bar and restaurant are great. The breakfast is a great eat all you want buffet style at a reasonable price. The rooms are the best for the price you pay. the staff are always professional.

Staff are super polite. Room was very spacious, with modern decor and a nice big Freeview TV.
If you're travelling during covid lockdown, remember to bring some confirmation of essential worker/travel.

The hotel is just off junction 10 of the m6 great car park good check in ok size room but with only a few rooms booked we would have thought hotel would give you a room with a nicer view rather than the back of the hotel beds good shower shocking it kept changing heat levels by its self not good didn’t complain as it was Christmas eve
