Thousands of Sudbury and Great Cornard residents are expected to take part in a community-wide game that encourages people to get active by walking, running and cycling as far as possible in return for points and prizes.
Some of England’s greatest artists have found inspiration in and around Sudbury including one of Sudbury’s most famous sons, Thomas Gainsborough. Until the July 24, Gainsborough's House are displaying nine landscape paintings from the Dutch Golden Age. This is an international collaboration with the Rijksmuseum Twenthe, a museum and gallery in the Netherlands. As a young artist, Thomas Gainsborough was greatly inspired by the Dutch landscape tradition of the seventeenth century.
Earlier this month, I took to the streets of Sudbury, with my pack of Buy Local Stickers, iPhone and selfie stick and drum up support for our local businesses.
