Not long till Christmas now.... 'Tis the season to be merry so I hope everyone's managing to fit in at least a little bit of Shrewsbury shopping. 'Tis also better to give than to receive, although there's more of a debate on that one....

Back to my Shrewsbury blog after a relaxing weekend at home where the computer didn't go on once. Well, OK, I did a teensy bit of eBaying. Got a nice pair of New Balance trainers; old school, just my cup of tea and half the price of my daughter's shoes.

It's not long till Halloween in Shrewsbury. Our fair town has everything you need for this haunting holiday. Then it will soon be Bonfire Night followed by Christmas.... Yes, Christmas.... Time to start saving (again).
Haven't blogged for a while. Been running around and trying to spin plates at the same time. Very difficult. But I was sent a newsletter yesterday by Shrewsbury Business Member, Cleartone Communications that had some very interesting stuff to share....
In 1916 the first Erskine hospital was founded to care for wounded servicemen returning from northern France during the First World War. Since then 70 000 families have entrusted them to look after their loved ones and are still doing so today.
Ah, the great British summer. I could've told you it was going to rain as I recently got the barbecue out. Despite last year's summer, when Noah's ark was seen floating around Shrewsbury, I remained positive and dusted off my gas Outback.

Back in Shrewsbury after 3 days in Welshy Wales. What I really loved about my long weekend away was that it's the first time I've been to Pembrokeshire and it hasn't rained! And, boy, is it beautiful when the view isn't being obscured by a monsoon.
What state is your local high street in? I don't mean its actual physical state, the litter, graffiti and what not, but rather how do you think Shrewsbury's shops are faring?
Bit of a business blog once more but it's always great when local independent companies have something to shout about. And today there's more good news from Shrewsbury's Salop Leisure....
