It’s fair to say, the last 3 weeks or so have been a whirlwind of new announcements, uncertainty and for a lot of people it feels like there are more questions being raised than answered.
As business owners, we have the opportunity to take control of how we react to the current situation.
However, too many entrepreneurs are “knee-jerk reacting” and burying their heads in the sand right now.
Or else they’re stuck in an endless news cycle, full of worries about tomorrow.
Here's the thing: tomorrow will come regardless; and many won’t be ready.
And too many of those that are communicating with their lists seem to be copying big business and sending a “doom and gloom,” or “we’re closed for the next few weeks,” update.
This is all the wrong messaging.
Right now, you need to serve your market.
One easy way to serve your customers is to alleviate their boredom.
Give them information on what they can do while stuck inside.
Let them know you’re here to help if they have questions.
Find ways to be of value.
Look at how you can deliver your service or product in a different way.
It may seem counterintuitive but right now people are paying more attention than ever before. And that can only benefit you IF you get your message out.
Don't go missing-in-action at your customers' time of need.
And there's never been a better time to use video.
You could start today...
