The Iron Man competition brings athletes from 39 countries to compete in a gruelling swimming, cycling and running event. Bolton hosted the Iron Man event for the second consecutive year and Bolton hopes to keep the competition longer than its 3 year run.

A huge fire broke out at 2.50 at Warburton s Bakery in Bolton. Over 100 employees were evacuated after a fire broke out in one of their oven. Fire fighters were on the scene for several hours.
