What are you doing for Halloween?

It is definitely getting darker outside now and there are more and more spiders about... and that means that it cannot be long till HALLOWEEN!

We’ve just got back home from a holiday in Florida where Halloween is a really big event and many the shops are decorated for Halloween and stock Halloween related items. Also all the Orlando Theme Parks now run special Halloween themed evenings to offer extra fun to their guests and extra income for them. In the USA this is not just a kids thing, many adults attend Halloween fancy dress events and parties and go to extreme lengths to create the most scary costumes.

While on this side of the Atlantic Halloween is not such a high profile event I am sure that children in Jersey will already be talking excitedly about it... This means pots of black paint, sticky fingers, pipe cleaners, witches noses and spooky masks and of course sweets for ‘trick or treat’!

  • What is your attitude to Halloween?
  • Will you be decorating your house this year?
  • Will your children be dressing up and going out trick or treating?
  • Are you organising an event you want people to join in with?
  • Are you creating a costume to attend an adults Halloween party?
  • Do you have any good recipes or tips to pass on?

We are really interested in so please let us know here or email jersey@thebestof.co.uk

So far we have been advised of only one Halloween specific event, this is at Jersey Goldsmiths on Sunday 30th October, this looks like it will be fun for all the family, click here for more details.

There are lots of websites out there with great ideas for costumes and party games or favours. A quick Google brought these three up, but there are lots more:
