Last week I met up for a coffee with Lynda Firkins from Jersey Goldsmith’s for an update on what they have planned and as always I was impressed with how smart their showroom was looking. Also they were noticeably busy, I know it was August but it was nice to see a Jersey attraction doing well.
I think that one of the reasons for their ongoing success (they celebrated their 25th anniversary in July) is that they have constantly adapted their offering to suit the needs of the time, specifically they recognised that with tourism declining they needed to attract local people to survive.
They have done this by offering a unique location where you can shop for jewellery and other gifts, undercover and with the benefit of expert and friendly advice. The fact that they are child friendly and have a nice café is an added bonus. In addition while some of their jewellery is quite expensive they also have many highly affordable items on sale so they offer great choices to a wide range of customers.
I am very happy to recommend anyone who has not visited Jersey Goldsmiths recently to do so, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
While it may be a bit premature it will not be long before peopls start thinking about Christmas gifts, so remember to make a point of visiting Jersey Goldsmiths when you start your Christmas shopping!
Would you recommend a particular local business? Please let me know the details and why and I will give the business a mention in the Blog.
