How do you go to find a good Jersey tradesman?

Jobs round the home often need people from different trades. For example if you are having a new bathroom fitted - you may need a plasterer, plumber, electrician and tiller. There are many trades people in Jersey who can offer these services,  most offer an excellent service, others are not so good, how do you ensure that you select someone who will deliver a job that you will be totally happy with at a price you will like?

You also have the issue as to whether it is best to select a large well established company with a good reputation or go with a smaller business where the owner is personally involved in the jobs they take on. One of the advantages of a larger firm is that they may be able to deal with the whole project but the cost may be greater than employing individual specialists. Personally I prefer dealing with smaller businesses as the owner is personally committed to making each job a success, with a larger business the workers tend to have less personal commitment and if there are any problems they may be more difficult the resolve. Owner operated businesses also tend to offer cheaper prices as their cost base is lower that larger businesses.

The Best of Jersey is proud to promotes some great local tradespeople, all with great testimonials from their customers.
