Help Homeless People With The Rucksack Project at Emmaus, Bolton
26th November 2013

Winter is here and for a lot of us, we can be wrapped up cosy in our houses, but for a lot of teenagers in Bolton, they're out in the cold and really need your help.

Getting involved in this project can mean someone not going hungry, and them being warm when they're sleeping on the streets.

It's really simple to get involved, all you need to do is go to charity shops, get a rucksack, sleeping bag, flask, spoon, gloves, hat, fleece, undies, socks and extra non-perishable food (such as cans with ring pulls, chocolate, biscuits etc.

Just bring anything in that would be useful for homeless people sleeping on the streets this winter.

Also, it doesn't all have to be from the charity shop. If you have any old clothes, scarfs or hats lying around that would just end up going in the bin or to a charity shop would be fantastic too.

Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme are getting involved in this wonderful project. They are a group of fantastic people who provide temporary supported accommodation to homeless and vulnerable people aged 16-25. You would need to bring your rucksacks to Emmaus Bolton on Fletcher Street, BL3 6NF on the 30th November between 10am and 2pm.

You will also need to print out some of the leaflets to go in your rucksack and you can find them all here.

So, why not get involved in this wonderful project, help your local vulnerable young people and keep them warm and full of food this winter.
