It’s one of those times of the year when everywhere you look there are hearts and flowers and gooey sentiments but through choice or not, you will be without a special someone to share the day (and night) with.
The New Year sales are over and now the shops are filled with hearts, flowers and all things pink and red. So I decided to find out a little more about the history surrounding Valentine's day, the most romantic of holidays.
No sooner we are out of Christmas and the New Year sales, than the shops fill out with more types of red themed paraphernalia: Valentine’s Day cards, red roses and everything else turns to heart shaped objects.
