Its been a long while since I used the Indian Cottage as am in town and there are enough choices. This place is handy as it escapes the demon traffic wardens from town. The restaurant seems to have been refreshed inside my only complaint is that it is very bright !
The menu is typical, lots of choice, the staff are friendly and obliging. My reviews will show that I am a lover of Indian/ Bengali food, all I ask for is something with quality ingredients, good sauce and taste, this ticks all the boxes, lovely, tender meat, great flavours tasted nice and fresh. I will go out of my way to call again soon.

Working on Guernsey and dropped in for a take away, very friendly staff, quick to take my order, food came nearly as fast, nice and hot, my order was a bit boring chicken teka masala, rice, Nan and onion bargy, came to £15.00 which was good value, had foc popadoms and dips which was nice. Enjoyed my meal , nothing special but no completes woukd use again on my next visit as easy to park in the area and good value, seemed to be used by a number of regulars which is always a good sign

20 of us celebrated my husbands 60th birthday here and we had a fantastic night. The food was delicious, didn't have to wait too long and it was hot when served. The staff were extermely helpful and accommodating. They brought out the cake with candles on etc and made a fuss of my husband. They even allowed us to play music on their computor so we could have a bit of a dance!
Our favourite Indian restaurant on the island! Would defininatley recomend it.

The Indian Cottage not only do take always but deliveries. I'm not usually a big fan of either the food is never as good and usually cold.
I was feeling lazy and decided to get my favourite Indian meal delivered. It arrived 10 minutes early and was hot and just as good if not better than if ordered in the restaurant.
Really tasty and nice big portion.First class

I have eaten here weekly for around ten years and have no complaints what so ever. They can adapt any dish to suit your tastes or dietary requirements. Friendly, helpful and great value

The food was very good. Reasonably priced (including sensibly priced wine) and a £15 set menu. The staff were attentive and all in all very pleasant experience

After reviewing others we decided on the Indian Cottage, what a good choice, very friendly staff nothing to much trouble, décor was traditional and a very clean trading area, extensive menu, our meal throughout arrived in good time and was hot, if only our local Indian restaurants were this good shame this one is so far away, highly recommend a visit

My husband and I really fancied a curry last night, so we popped into the Indian Cottage. We always get a takeaway from here, but this time had the opportunity to have a sit down meal. It was a Monday evening so we weren't expecting it to be full but it was extremely quiet and at one point we were the only diners. However this did mean we got a nice comfy booth-style table and very prompt service. And the Indian music playing certainly made up for any lack of hustle and bustle, and was really enjoyable to listen to in the background as we chatted. We started off with poppadoms and chutneys and hubby had a Chicken Rogan and I had Chicken Tikka Saag...with some side orders of rice and paratha. Everything was hot and delicious, and served with a smile. The staff were friendly and efficient and we had a lovely evening. Some might find the decor a bit dated, but that's how I like a curry house. Not convinced by the Indian Cottage branded carpet but that's just nit picking. I would definitely recommend.

Being on holiday and having had a hard day in the sun we decided, with guidance from our hosts, to have a take away curry. The menu is quite comprehensive and everybody should be able to find something to suit their palate. Whilst we had a takeout, the restaurant itself looked clean and tidy and was already half full of cheerful customers, whilst still early evening. A clear sign of a loyal clientele. The food was hot and most enjoyable.

We were on Guernsey for a week, to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary, and had decided to alternate eating out with eating at our hotel. Using the internet to assist our choice, we looked for an Indian restaurant with good reviews, selected the Indian Cottage, and made a booking.
When we arrived, on a weekday evening, we found a busy cheerful restaurant, well supported by locals and tourists alike - we were glad that we had made a reservation! We were greeted by a smiling host, who quickly seated us in the well-appointed bar / waiting area, presented us with a comprehensive menu and took our drinks order.
It was clear, from the menu, that we were in for a treat, given the range of dishes available. My wife usually sticks with a Korma, but was encouraged by me to try something different, beginning with a selection of mixed starters to share. We were soon shown to our table, and despite the business of the restaurant, we still enjoyed relative privacy and didn't need to raise our voices for conversation. Waiting staff were attentive, and were able to answer our queries and see to our needs with a minimum of fuss.
The courses came, and were enjoyed by us both. The food was really tasty, without being overly "hot" with spices, and we added a couple of new things to our 'favourites' list.A really enjoyable meal in a good restaurant.

Indian cottage is simply amazing! Me and my friends had a great experience there! They recently got a 5 star rating and they certainly live up to it! The customer service and of course the food was fabulous! We can clearly see why they got that 5 star! Defiantly recommend it to anyone, if you haven't had indian food before this is the place to go and you'll fall in love with it!

Reviewed this place almost two years ago and it hasn't changed a bit. Still amazing food, huge portions and this time really friendly staff. Must be good as I couldn't believe the amount of locals who came in for takeaway whilst we were eating. If we were local we would definately be regulars

We had both starters and a main here. Restaurant was busy but this did not effect the service. Staff were nice and food was of a good quality. This is my favourite indian and will definitely be returning.not a 5 star only because no complimentary poppadum!

Living in France we are always desperate for a decent curry - almost impossible to find in our area. Whilst visiting friends on the island we opted to try a curry house - given the chance that we might find a good one! We certainly were not disappointed. Really good food and excellent attentive service - we left grinning from ear to ear.

Busy Indian serving Punjabi cuisine in St Sampsons, service very good. We ordered the set party menu which was I thought was excellent value with masses of food - you might want to order for 1 less person than in your party as we couldn't finish it. Food was tasty and different to the usual fare that you get across England, there were quite a few dishes that I didn't recognise. They also do the tennerfest as well as the normal a la carte range and takeaways
