We had lunch and drinks at the Mermaid after a walk round the island. We ordered sandwiches, salad and drinks. Service and food was great and hospitality from Brady included memories of both Glasgow and Guernsey. We will be back.

This is the underrated gem of Guernsey. Fantastic place to stay with with clean, freshly decorated rooms. Happy, friendly staff. Even though the breakfast is great, if you get chance to eat in the restaurants at night the food is top quality.

Dinner here proved an enjoyable experience. Food well considered, with the flavours balanced by a clearly confident chef. As it was my birthday, only sorry that champagne not available by the glass, though I had a fine Malbec instead. Lovely touch was pudding served with ‘Happy Birthday’ written in chocolate on plate. Staff attentive and service good. Fairly expensive, but worth it for food and room design.
