A surprisingly nice traditional hotel 7u
Great location despite the road closures for the airshow. Room had a marvellous sea view
The hotel was located a short walk from a street packed with restaurants, cafes and bars to suit everyone's taste.
We didn't eat in the hotel but the breakfast and evening meal looked good value. Room was a good size and clean but shower was just adequate. Not much else to criticise

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking great value but there are only a few spaces. Overall the hotel is quite run down and in need of some TLC, particularly in the bathroom where the shower leaked, there was mould around the bath, design left the bathroom cramped so you had to walk sideways to the toilet and there was no shelves to put your toiletries. The bed was comfortable and it’s in a great location with lovely staff. Hotel has great potential but such a pity it’s so run down.

Large Room
Carpets were dirty and stained, the shower flooded the bathroom due to a huge crack In the shower tray.
I also called a week ahead of time requesting the 2 rooms booked, NOT to be close together, it was our 1st wedding anniversary and we were attending a wedding close by, so the 2nd room was for mother in-law. The lady on reception confirmed we were on totally different floors, 1st & 4th. When my husband checked us in, we were 2 doors away from each other! Needless to say I was not impressed we were told we could not be moved.

Great for the air show
Location excellent, room v good size, clean, shame could only slightly open 2 windows as very hot but at least had 3 fans in room. Lovely sea view & pleasant staff. Overall tired hotel but perfect for short break. Didnt eat in so can't comment on the food.

A good old standard hotel right on the seafront
A good old abd reliable hotel where we have stayed several times. While it needs updating....we are pleased it's been bought by a company that does such for Hotels. We appreciate the car park...but you have to be quick to get a space. Limited capacity.

This was the 3rd time we stayed there this year Our bedroom (412) especially the bathroom, requires attention. Thick dust on the pipes beside the toilet and grid missing from the sink waste.
We noticed a large cobweb on the ceiling as we were leaving this morning
Also, the wood on the window frame is rotting away.

Noisy outside, for once I had a sea view I thought was a good thing, but probably quieter with a view of the car park.

An enjoyable staff with lovely staff.
Our room had a lovely view, I got a photo of a fantastic sunrise. Lots of choice at breakfast time. We had our meals in the bar and the staff were exceptional ..... helpful and friendly.
Bathroom was clean but could have done with a deep clean, behind toilet etc.
We had a problem trying to keep the window open a little as it was a very hot weekend.

Best dog friendly hotel
Hotel is in a great location, across the road from the beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants, pier and bus stop. Hotel has a car park and is dog friendly. Dining room serves breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately dogs are no longer allowed in the dining room , so had to have our breakfast in the foyer area at one of the tables and just go back and forth to the dining room to get food and drinks.
Hotel needs updating and it's very hot inside the building!
