Great location and good value but sad to see such a once fine building in a state of decay.
Great breakfasts. Comfortable beds. Central location. Evening entertainment. Own large car park. Friendly staff. Lovely sea view. Many and varied restaurants nearby.
Crumbling building. Many areas need cleaning better. Minute lifts, only one of which working. General lack of maintenance. Poor Internet reception.

Very nice service at the reception upon arrival, as well as with inquiries.
There is a room where you can store wheelchairs, scooters etc.
Wheelchair access is far from the reception, at a side door in the hotel that leads into the restaurant. Man calls a click and someone comes and opens, maybe.

An elevator is broken, so the entire hotel uses 1 elevator, where there can be a maximum of 2 people. This results in a constant queue at the elevator.
The whole concept of dinner makes no sense to a European, maybe the English are just different. In the restaurant there is only a fixed menu, in the bar across the way, you can get à la carte but you have to sit at small lounge tables. ???

Excellent breakfast. Relaxed buffet. Always plenty of well presented produce, especially the hot options.

Lovely location and staff but in desperate need of a deep clean and modernising
Great location. Staff are lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Good to have parking behind the hotel.
It’s in desperate need of a deep clean and some modernising. Only 1 of 2 lifts worked and the one that did could only just fit 2 people and was incredibly slow.

I had a really lovely stay at The Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne. I did have an issue with my room when I arrived, but the staff were absolutely amazing and dealt with it straight away, moving me to another room without any fuss.
The staff were friendly, helpful and made me feel really welcome throughout my stay. The breakfast was also delicious, with plenty of tasty options to choose from.
Overall, I was really impressed with the service and how quickly they resolved the issue. I would definitely stay at The Burlington Hotel again and would happily recommend it to others! 😊 The building itself was a little warm during my stay, but I can imagine it being lovely and cosy during the winter months!

Its not the Ritz bit comfortable .
Location very good . Choices at dinner good some evenings but disappointing once or twice. Safety bars on the bath no high enough for using the shower . Breakfast very greasy . All staff friendly.

A lovely stay at the Burlington hotel
The room was very spacious and having a dule aspect view it was amazing, the bed was very comfortable and having a separate shower from the bath made it so much easier for us. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen, plenty of choice be it full English or cereal.
The Burlington Hotel is a grand old lady well over 170 years old and as such she is in need of a little TLC in places. the main issue was one of the lifts (the larger of the two) was not working, so moving suit cases to & from our room was difficult.
There only seamed to be a gents toilet on the ground floor and no ladies toilet, the only one my wife could find was down another set of stairs which was difficult not only to find but to get to. As most of your gests are elderly it maybe something to look at.

If you want a reasonable hotel in a very central location , the Burlington is a good choice
Friendly staff and a very good location right on the beach front. Shops and restaurants just around the corner .
Breakfast was nice - good choice of buffet options . Decor was a bit dated and dinner was not great ( we booked a package) with little choice and not great food .

Close to seafront
Needs a lot spent on it. Our bathroom needed a really good clean especially the skirting boards and pipes. The shower cubicle needs replacing very dirty. Carpet was badly stained. Lift was out of order. We were using the service lift which would only hold three people. There was always a queue waiting. Not everyone can walk up three flights of stairs. A lady I was talking to said it was the same the last time she came

Our stay at Burlington
Great location and usually priced well, especially if there's a mobile discount. It's definitely faded glory but comfortable and the staff are nice. We generally try to stay here. I haven't had the food options for awhile but remember the breakfast being hot and filling.
The lift was out of service again. There are two, with the larger having issues. It's not great if you have suitcases or can't manage stairs. Our window required a wooden block to hold it open, which didn't allow for much air circulation.

Along the sea front so very convenient. Staff extremely helpful, always had a smile and very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area especially the team on reception. Drinks a bit expensive. Lunch and Breakfast very good
Only one very small lift in reception working the whole weekend which made it very difficult getting up to fourth floor. Always a queue due to this. The bigger lift has apparently been out of order for a long time so needs be fixed asap.
