Comfortable and good location.
Location and staff. Clean comfortable bedroom.
Bathroom outdated and shower had only very hot water. Discovered in morning just before checking out so too late to be fixed.

Checkout was very early (10am) which was a bit inconvenient for the purpose of our stay and staff on front desk weren’t the most helpful and was eating her dinner behind the front desk- quite unprofessional

Conveniently located (or at least, it would be if it weren't for the construction work at the moment!) - the receptionist was lovely too! Decent enough for a one night stay.
Pretty muggy in the room, but a fan was provided. The bed wasn't terribly comfy.

Breakfast was excellent with a very extensive selection to suit all tastes.
The overall impression from the staff was one of helpfulness and friendliness at every turn, from a very warm welcome at reception to a willingness to sort out any questions whether asking for directions, or whatever, nothing was too much trouble.
I would certainly recommend the Burlington to friends and family and hope to return myself.

Easy access to Devonshire Park.
The bathroom light and extractor stopped working. We couldn't shower or even wash except in the dark. There is no way
to contact reception from the room. When we reported the huge problem we were thanked for reporting it and after having breakfast the problem was still not resolved. It was the morning that we were leaving but we would have liked to have a shower. After copious e mails about roadworks, not one said that you had to drive the wrong way down a one way street to reach the car park. When we arrived we couldn't find a designated slot so we booked in and then moved into a designated parking space.. We paid the £6 charge but were not asked for our registration number, the next morning we paid for the next 2 days and insisted that they took our car's registration details.

There was a problem with the curtains and T V in room which was sorted out once we told reception , staff very helpful and friendly Breakfast was a good choice in a nice big dining room
The room needed a little care and attention as did the outside of the hotel it looks a little tired

Excellent position for what we needed but totally overpriced.
Excellent position for the tennis. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Good parking facilities
Very tired and needed a total refurb. Not particularly clean. Had to ask for extra toilet paper as none left by cleaner each morning. Expected much more for the price we paid.

Eastbourne sea front hotel
Location was excellent, close to pier and promenade. Devonshire Park (Lexus Eastbourne tennis) 10 mins walk. Views from Sea view rooms amazing! Rooms spacious and clean.
Creaky floorboards! Though wasn't a problem.

I love to stay in this hotel as it is on the beach and is having a room where I can park my bicycle!
Check in is after 15.00 and even if they have rooms they just don’t care…I honestly don’t understand that sort of policy. I mean why would someone need to wait until 15.00 if the room is ready and empty?
In my case I arrive in the morning and because I had a meeting in London I didn’t have an opportunity to have a shower before so I checked in after 10 pm when I come back…hospitality is disappearing from hospitality industry and everything becomes full of rules and robotics! You can see sorry on every corner…but all those sorries are only the words without any meaning at all!

Lovely British Seaside gem
Location, meals included, large room, sea view. Lovely 2 day break, not fancy but excellent value. Lovely dining room, great systems in place, efficient, clean and helpful staff.

Great location close to the tennis club. Room clean, bed comfortable. Sea view very pleasant. Breakfast was outstanding. Yes I accept that it needs a bit of sprucing up. But if you have great staff, food and location I will settle for that. Would return

Would definitely go back, loved our room and enjoyed our stay
Nice location near the pier and a quick walk to the shops. A bit noisy due to traffic, roadworks and being the busy end of the road, kids and drinkers shouting about at night but not too bad unless you are a light sleeper

Did everything I wanted and more
This hotel vastly exceeded the expectations that I had of it beforehand. The staff on the reception desks were all very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast each morning was great. I liked how you could have it anytime between 7.30-9.30 on weekdays and didn't have to book a slot. The evening meal options were also great. I was able to book onto the 3 course evening meal at the last minute on a couple of occasions. I had bar food on other nights.
My room had everything in it that I needed. For a single, it was very spacious compared to lots of places. It was good that there was free Wifi available in the rooms. There were no problems that I experienced during my stay here. There were only very minor issues with the room such as the walls in the bedroom could do with touching up as there were cracks in places. Also some of the carpets could do with been replaced around the hotel as they are old and stained. Having a room above a bar meant it could get a bit noisy at night.

It was a great location to stay for the trips we had planned. The room was great! We had a superior sea view. The breakfast was good but the hotel exterior is rundown and needs some love and attention. We couldn’t park at the hotel so used the NCP nearby, which was great as it was so hot and car covered..

Acceptable for a short stay during tennis week
The staff are the best attribute of this hotel. It is in a great location for Eastbourne attractions. The rooms are made up fresh with clean towels and bedding and comfy beds. Parking is also big bonus for reasonable £6 24+ hour stay
The hotel is a bit tired and in need of refurbishment.
There are currently road closures around the hotel and unfortunately our room on the side was right above it, and it started around 7 am.
