After reading many bad reviews we were pleasantly surprised. The room is clean , comfortable and absolutely no mould . We asked for extra pillows , they were brought to our room . The staff are so friendly and helpful . We are here for 2 nights and so far really cannot fault it , yes in some area's the decor looks a little tired but it's an old building . Furnishings are clean and modern .

As always, very pleasant and enjoyable.
The location is phantastic, as is the seaview. Rooms are generously sized. Breakfast was very good, and reception staff very helpful.
On Tuesday morning, one of the breakfast staff restricted which of the laid tables people could sit at or not, even though there was no obvious need for it as there was plenty of space available.

Although there are some negatives I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again reception staff was very welcoming
Room was a little tired and window wouldn’t close properly no heat in the toilet/bathroom but room was spacious could have been cleaner .. but overall I would definitely stay again the staff where very helpful and the breakfast was excellent
The window in the room wouldn’t close properly it was difficult to use the toilet as it felt squeezed in and radiator didn’t work so would think winter would be cold ..

A pleasant stay in a superb location but the hotel although grand needs some refurbishment.
Excellent location with superb view. Own carpark although not guaranteed a space there was room at the time of year we were staying. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very supportive in arranging housekeeping at a time which suited my friend.
The roller blind in the bathroom to our room did not close down at all. Even though our room was on the second floor privacy at night was still important. This fault was reported to reception immediately but even after 4 days nothing was fixed. An apology was given when we checked out.

We did not have a beach view, but our room was fine, a bit out dated but clean and shower was lovely, staff were friendly and breakfast was lovely. For what we paid we can not fault the hotel

I liked it was right near the beach and near town and pier. Had a very nice large room with sea view . Breakfast was ok. Also had entertainment on the weekend.
The hotel bit tired from the outside and old but clean. The room was ok but could have been cleaned better. Nothing major.

Very tired bedrooms, nice view if they cleaned the windows
Paid for superior double room, bed uncomfortable as seemed raised at bed foot. Sticky gaffer tape on side of bed. Very creaky floor (understand old building) but felt we tiptoed around as noisy and thought of the rooms below. Lifts didn't work on one occasion and had to walk down and stairwell was smelling of paint. Breakfast ok but not great. Chose as dog friendly.

Very plesant
The breakfast was excellent.our room was facing the sea,so a lovely view in of the peer and gardens.
The bed was very uncomfortable,it creeked when you moved,which disturbed your sleep.

Although the views were fine and the bar service was great, once more they forgot to service our room! This happened to us last year as well, and I'm not sure we will come back next year. It's not nice to come in tired after a lovely day out to find we have to make our own beds and go downstairs to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper!!!

The hotel was really clean. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and approachable.
It's not so much the hotel as the area. There isn't much to do there and most places are closed by 8 pm. There is a unclean alley right behind the hotel bringing down the location.

Locatio, view on the seafront, big size hotel just with the Pier opposite.
Heating was on and was too hot in the room but staff promptly send the tec and made our radiator been closed up.
