Great location, very well priced for a one night stay Very old and quirky. Added to the charm Needs an urgent update with furniture and fixtures

I will be returning this month! Everything I am so sad to see that Eastbourne's jewel, the carpet gardens, have now been replaced with straggly bushes.

Our car broke down on our way to the hotel, arriving at 2am the staff were INCREDIBLE, they helped us with everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure we were OK.
We will never forget the kindness and will always return to The Burlington as long as they have this wonderful staff team

We have just returned from a 5 day trip to the Burlington Eastbourne
20 oct-25 and we had a fantastic time the Hotel staff were polite, friendly and very helpful when we arrived we were not happy with the room we had been allocated we were upgraded to another room 309 without any fuss or trouble and nothing was too much trouble for the staff
The food and service was faultless
This was our second visit it 3 months and will be going again.
If I was to be picky I will say the room wasn't very clean particularly the windows but no bother.
Thank you Burlington

It was OK for the price Breakfast was good and efficient. View was a bit rubbishy. Room needs attention in the ensuite round the edges of the bath and wash basin You neede to bang the fentrance door as the lock was difficult to shut. With building work next door a lot could have been done make access clearer. It would have been hellpful to have been told you had to go the wrong way along an one way street to get to a poorl indicated car park. I did not like the idea that you pay for the car park withut any assurance that there would be space to park Arrangements during road works and rundown car park

We did not have breakfast at the hotel. It was good to find one that offered just the stay. We invited friends for lunch and the service was, friendly, efficient and more than excellent, and we could all sit and view the sea at the same time. We were out all day on both days attending an event, so it did not matter that the view was the fire escape. The beds were comfortable and clean and you provided an extra blanket. The staff at reception were extremely kind and helpful and it was a pleasure to meet them. If we could have reserved a parking spot (disability!) that would have been good but we found somewhere, since it was not the height of the season.

Lovely to be back in Eastbourne after many years’ absence. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent lift. Comfortable room. Maybe in need of a refurb, but I believe a major overhaul is planned.

Pleasantly surprised, would rebook First time staying, I mainly booked as the hotel is dog friendly. Was really pleased with the service, location, breakfast and overall cost. Reception were nice and always helpful, held our bags in a secure locked room after checking out so we could explore easier before getting the train home. Room was spacious and clean, although dated, we had no major issues as we were out most of the days. My only complaint would be to do with the bathroom which was in need of a refresh, like the sink and sealant cracking. Also the blind needs replacing, the bathroom window was directly next to the shower head/bath and the blind looked like it had been cut about halfway so you could see right in/out. The window looked to lead to a fire escape so saw no passersby but if I was staying longer or had children/vulnerable family staying i'd have raised the issue in person rather than make do.

Enjoyable, central for visiting the area but wouldn’t stay there again. The location was brilliant . Breakfast was brilliant. Room was large. Needed an update. Bathroom basin had odd taps, sealant around the basin didn’t look nice, bathroom
door didn’t shut properly and bedroom carpet very stained.

Lovely view, excellent food in a historic hotel The hotel is about 170 years old some of it feels original but that’s the beauty of the building.
The staff were excellent, we had both dinner s 3 course meal and breakfast both were excellent with lots of choices available. We had a lovely sea view with the pier
The windows at the front need replacement but there is a refurbishment due in 2026

Good value ⁹ Location
Staff,but see below
Excellent bar service ⁹
Public toilet needs updating and extending.
Please tell the young waiter to stop constantly saying 'my love ' when addressing women. Patronising, uncalled for and unprofessional.
Bar food cheese sandwich 🥪 v.poor!

The Burlington The location The widows were dirty, we couldn't see the sea view which we'd paid extra for.
Cups dirty in room
The room was far too hot and we complained to no joy.
Eventually our 74year old family member had to climb on a chair to switch a switch off which was around 7ft high
