Overall very enjoyable Friendly staff, good breakfast, bar meals nice, room had a sea view which was great.
Dog friendly hotel. Great location for walks, the town centre, railway station
The property is old and whilst downstairs looks modern the bedrooms need attention especially the carpets in bedrooms and corridors.

Lovely view overlooking the sea and pier. A proper traditional grand old hotel. Good choice for breakfast.

The Burlington has seen better days. On the plus side, it's well located, spacious, offers an excellent breakfast and helpful staff. On the minus, it's clearly in need of investment in both the exterior infrastructure as well as in the rooms. Carpets are dirty, wallpaper past its best, and not as clean as it could be. However, the bed linen was clean as was most of the bathroom and the accommodation is cheap. This is not the Ritz nor a Premier Inn. For those of us on a tight budget, you get what you pay for.

A dated but comfortable hote, but the housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. Great sea view, great location. Good choice at breakfast. Staff excellent. We stayed for 4 nights, out room wasn't cleaned at all. We put the "Please clean the room" notice on our door and all they did was change one towel and empty the bins. Didn't make the bed or vacuum the floor, the bathroom wasn't cleaned at all.

Grand Victorian era hotel, past its best but providing excellent VFM, in an excellent location directly overlooking the Good location & cheap Allocated a room next to the lifts so very noisy, suggest therefore specially ask not to be allocated a room near the lifts.

Stay at the Burlington Cost of room and choice of breakfast
One minus only one toaster working causing a wait
Road and expansion works close to the hotel

I spent a week at this hotel with the breakfast and dinner package with a seaview room.

Its a stunning hotel that does need a few touch ups here and there which they will be doing now under new ownership. The staff are outstanding and a real credit to the hotel no request was to big or small.

My favourite thing was their buffet full english breakfast having said that their dinner was also a three course grand affair that gives you a choice of three for each course.

We will look forward to staying here again in the future.

Great location! Great location. We had the cheapest most basic room and it was clean, en-suite and had tea/coffee and tv. Breakfast, dinner, bar and entertainment were there if you wanted them. A bit dilapidated; the hall carpets were in need of a deep clean.

I had a small comfortable single which I was able to keep warm with the very convenient oil filled electric radiator. Hotel is a bit tired but the public areas were smart and comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly and the entertainment was great with Anthony.

After reading the reviews I really didn’t know what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations. Great big rooms, comfy b Beautiful old building right on the seafront, perfect location for exploring. Lovely sized rooms with incredible views across the seafront & pier.
The staff were friendly, especially the breakfast room staff.
Small lifts
Shower didn’t drain very quickly

Staff pleasant unfortunately hotel and facilities very tired Seafront location plenty of hot water Unfortunately the room was very tired with no mattress protector or topper.
The room had cracks in ceiling and the bathroom fittings were dated. It looked like the rooms have not been updated or decorated since the 1970 period. It didn’t feel particularly clean!.. Unfortunately road works and the demolished building attached to the property along with the gathering of “ smokers “ did nothing to enhance the appearance of this once impressive hotel. Having grown up in Eastbourne it’s a sad reflection on the decline of the seafront and the town in general.

The Property need a update..! For 2026 if they want Great business. It was very close to the beach and pier also the shopping area wit lots of restaurants. The staff where lovely but the let down is the decoration..! The outside really needs a good coat of paint and it would really stand out as vegetation is growing on the front of this hotel. The Burlington Hotel and it would get a lot more buisness as it’s in a Prime Position.
