activ8 (Bolton Octagon Theatre's participation team, working with  young people, schools and community groups) have recently increased their provision for young people with disabilities and would like to encourage new young people who are interested in drama, theatre and the arts to get involved.

"activ8 bridges" is a youth theatre provision specifically for young people with learning disabilities aged 13 – 25. Sessions take place at the Octagon Theatre, Bolton, on Saturdays from 05th May until mid July 12.

There are 2 different groups – the first is a weekly session aimed at young people who know they are interested in drama and who want to create theatre performances together. The second group is aimed at young people who want to try different art forms and enjoy being creative rather than working towards performances.

There are costs of £40 per term for the weekly session and £20 per term for the fortnightly session. However there are also  free and part funded places available – just ask for a bursary form when booking a place.

For more information about activ8 or to book a place on either of the activ8 bridges youth theatre groups please call Helen on 01204 556501 or email helen.barnes@octagonbolton.co.uk
