Wednesday August 7th is International Playday. The young and the young at heart come together to play and have a lot of fun. It is the 26th time that Playday has been held and this year it is sure to be better than ever.

Playday began in 1986 when a group of people named Mick Conway, Kim Holdaway and Paul Bonel thought it would be a good idea to have a whole day dedicated to playful activities. Their aim is the same now as it was back then; they want to highlight the importance of children having play in their lives.

Just how can you do that with our bestof Bolton members? Well why not visit our indoor play centres Fidgets and Whales and Snails for a start? Whales and Snails have super facilities, like a party room, modern, safe and entertaining equipment and toddler play den.  You can reach them on 01204 684089.

Fidgets can hold parties for up to 100 guests. It has a separate area for small children, along with a ginormous play frame, sports court and soft play area. Their contact number is 01204 876691.

This event isn’t just for children, adults can get involved too. Everyone deserves to release their inner child once in a while. For some over 18’s entertainment, visit Mecca Bingo. It’s free to join and you could win some cash prizes if you get a line or full house. Give them a ring on 01204 524096 to see when the games start.

Toms Toys sell all kinds of children’s gifts for them to play with. They have a full range of gadgets, wooden toys, arts and crafts, collectables and more. Telephone them on 01204 684072.
