What's on in Bolton for August Bank Holiday?

The August Bank Holiday is 31st August, and what better to spend a day off than to attend a fabulous event, there’s so many great events in Bolton, so don’t miss out!

First of all, the Bolton Food and Drink Festival 2015! takes place from Friday 28th August until Monday 31st August.

28th August – Live cooking demonstrations from 2 star Michelin chef, Michael Caines! There will also be children’s fun with Cbeebies Katy Ashworth at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, tickets from £1. Not only that, there will be regional chef demos taking place in the Bolton Market lifestyle hall, these are FREE!

29th August – Afternoon Tea and live cooking demonstration with presenter and TV cook, LiSa Faulkner! There will also be children’s fun with Cbeebies Katy Ashworth at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, tickets from £1. Not only that, there will be regional chef demos taking place in the Bolton Market lifestyle hall, these are FREE!

30th August – We will welcome TV presenter John Torode, there will be a fabulous cookery challenge too! There will also be children’s fun with Cbeebies Katy Ashworth at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, tickets from £1. Not only that, there will be regional chef demos taking place in the Bolton Market lifestyle hall, these are FREE!

31st August – Bringing the festival to a close will be the popular James Martin holding some amazing cooking demonstrations! There will also be regional chef demos taking place in the Bolton Market lifestyle hall, these are FREE!

ALSO, cake decorating with Cbeebies Katy Ashworth at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, the cost is only £1.50!


 

On Saturday 29th August, Bolton Libraries are holding an event for all the family to celebrate the Food and Drink Festival. There will be great free activities for all. You can find out more here

Not only that, All Souls Centre are holding a Free Play Session for children aged 4-12 years old. They can take part in a wide range of activities. Find out more here.

 

Or would you like to do something for charity? The Bolton Hospice Colour Run takes place on 30th August, it’s all about creating colourful memories and celebrating the lives of those who are no longer with us. Find out more about the event here

The Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa  are holding a Teddy Bears Picnic for all families! You’re invited to come along on 31st August, bring along your blanket and a teddy! The event is free and you can find out more about it here

Fidgets Soft Play Centre is situated on Dunscar Business Park, they offer fantastic play facilities for children!

Or you can bring the children to meet the cute animals at Smithills Open Farm, they also have some new Meerkat residents!
