What is Number Day 2013?
3rd December 2013

Are you a whizz with numbers? Then Number Day is perfect for you.

It has now been running for 14 years and is organized by the NSPCC. They want people to celebrate the magic of numbers and how it has given the answer to some of the biggest problems in the world through formulas and calculations.

The reason some people love maths is there’s always a correct answer, but the very fact there can be no margin for error when doing an important sum is what makes maths frustrating for many others. It can take a while to get your head round complex equations in algebra and trigonometry, but it is very rewarding when you do.

Number Day this year is on December 3rd. Across the country different events are happening like dress up in digits and who wants to be a mathionaire?

We know Maths can be a difficult topic to get your head round, so if you’re struggling then see a specialist tutor at either Kip McGrath or Bolton College.

Kip McGrath provide personalised tuition in Maths or English for children aged between 6 and 16. They will work with the young people to improve their numeracy and literacy skills using their bespoke programme. Their phone number is 01204 684450 if you’d like to book a free assessment

Bolton College have a range of courses available that will help you develop your maths skills for different Telephone them on 01204 372078.

The University of Bolton have full time courses available in mathematics for any budding mathematicians out there. Find out more about the course by calling 01204 900600.
