Were you aware that the 12th August is International Youth Day? It was started by the United Nations in 1998 and celebrates the impact that youths have on society.

The under 18’s of the world lead the way in new technology like mobile phones, iPods and other new technology and many other aspects of daily life too. The Bolton Lads and Girls Club provides leisure and educational activities to the young people of Bolton. They run mentoring projects, do outreach work, Membership is only £3 a year to become a part of the biggest youth club in the country. Contact them on 01204 540100 to find out exactly how to join.

By becoming a patron of BLGC you can support the vital work the club does and continue helping the youth of today. Prices start from just £35 a month for an individual, or £50 for a company patron. With that you get regular access to networking events, be involved in fundraising activities, recognition on BLGC’s PR material and more.

Kip McGrath support the youth of Bolton too, with their expert tutoring sessions. After conducting a free assessment they can tailor make a programme in either English, Maths or Science to enable children to reach their potential. Reach them on 01204 684450.

Young people all over the globe will be taking part in International Youth Day. There’s going to be photography exhibitions, competitions and much more. At the moment there isn’t anything happening in Bolton on that day, so what better excuse then to organise something.
