When it comes to applying for funding, many people don't know where to start.
The Bolton CVS Funding Portal is the place to browse online if you want to search for funding opportunities further afield, as long as it’s no further than Europe you can do that too. There’s over 5,000 to choose from.
It is a free, simple to navigate website for charities and small groups to search for funding opportunities that will suit them and fits with what the organisation is trying to achieve.
On the website you can view success stories of other groups that have had funding in the past. Past recipients have been given the chance to start up a new business and grow their existing company.
If you’re not sure where to begin with funding applications then there are plenty of documents available online to assist with this. All the latest news is posted on the site, so you can keep track of when opportunities become available and how other associations are using the funding.
Many different grants are available this month. These are different amounts of grants awarded at different points of the year. Deadlines for these change throughout the year, so visit the Bolton CVS June Bulletin for the full details contact the team at Bolton CVS on 01204 546025.
Bolton Council are considering offering £160,000 for small grants in 2013/14 and £150,000 in 2014/15. Please let Michael Kane at Bolton Council know this is definitely a good idea via email (Michael.email@example.com) by 5pm on Monday 1st July.
The council have also said there will be no cuts to funding until April 2014 for groups funded by Children’s Services and the Chief Executive’s Department. There will probably be some reductions in the next financial year. However many groups have services that support the most vulnerable in our community and therefore are tightly linked to the Community Strategy priority, so could be protected from any cuts, which is splendid news.
