The Bolton Food and Drink Festival is proving to be hugely popular once again, perhaps that’s because they have loads of activities for children.

During the festival the Crompton Place will be open between 11am and 4pm for children to enjoy an array of activities. Kids@Crompton is a fantastic choice of free activities for youngsters to enjoy, including cake decorating, puppet shows, jewellery making and potato printing.

Meanwhile the team at the Octagon are hosting an interactive story-telling playground at the children’s marquee in Le Mans Crescent, Bolton.  Spaces for this event are limited so you’ll need to book quickly if you want to attend.

If you don’t have young children then you probably wouldn’t have heard of Katy Ashworth, however she’s a really popular presenter on CBeebies. She’s the star of a 20 minute show at the Bolton Food and Drink Festival with singing and dancing and lots of audience participation is encouraged.

It’s a free show with 3 performances every day at 11am, 1.15pm and 3.30pm. It takes place in the children’s marquee and kids will have the chance to meet Katy afterwards. Once again places for this are limited so book your tickets quickly if you’d like to go along.

Of course, more events will be added to the Food and Drink festival all the time, so keep checking back on our blog as we’ll keep you informed on everything that will be happening.  Remember it runs over the August Bank Holiday Weekend (August 22nd-25th
