Its great news that Westhoughton is thriving once more and becuase of this the indoor market has just increased its opening hours to include a late night shopping night on a Thursday until 7pm.

Westhoughton Market has gained a reputation recently for its quirky stalls and local produce and where there was once empty stalls, the market now boasts a waiting list for new traders wanting to sell goods there.

Recently Bolton Council invested over £4,000 on a canopy and improved signage and entrance doors earlier this year which has helped boost footfall.

Previous improvements have also included new stalls, changes to the layout and better lighting.

As well as the local indoor market, Westhoughton also boasts a monthly farmers market in the summer months and also a car boot on the second Saturday of every month so there really is something for everyone in Westhoughton.

Things are looking really positive in Westhoughton and some traders are even considering further late night trading on friday evenings leading up to Christmas.
