We previously promoted a Wedding Fair that came about as a result of two thebestof Bolton members working together; Bolton Old Links Golf Club and Samantha Cherish. The wedding fair took place on Sunday 18th November, and was a huge success.
There was a steady flow of interested brides, grooms and their families from the start at 12.00 until they finished around 4.00, with the biggest surprise to guests being the fantastic function room available upstairs for hire. It was an excellent way to showcase a terrific venue, exemplified by the fact that two bookings were made on the same day.
Entertainment was provided throughout the event by one of the golf club's own members, Con Duffy, who is a professional solo artist. Con brought along some of his friends from the music business to add more variety, and demonstrated his own versatility as a solo artist/pianist, as a duo with his brother or with his own show band. He had everything covered.
Sam, owner of Samantha Cherish, did a fantastic job of dressing the room and the guests that made it to the exhibition all remarked on how wonderful the venue looked with her touch.
Exhibitors themselves said that they would be recommending Old Links as a function venue and there has already been lots of interest from people wanting to demonstrate their own goods at the next event.
