Walking for Health – FREE Volunteer Walk Leader Training

Do you love walking and want to share your passion with others? Get Active Bolton are offering a 1 day training course for those people with a real interest in walking who are willing to deliver short walks in the local community following their training or to deliver them within their own workplace.

The one day training course is a practical course which is FREE of charge and will cover 

  • risk assessments
  • how to lead a health walk
  • benefits of and barriers to exercise
  • information on specific medical conditions
  • benefits of the natural environment for health and wellbeing

Resources available to you, to make the most of your new skills, include a Volunteer Walk Leader Manual and Walk Leader certificate.

It is recommended that anyone interested in applying for this course should have attended at least one local health walk and be able to deliver short walks in the local community following their training.
