Christmas shoppers will have the opportunity to grab a unique gift with a difference on Saturday 10th December at Lostock Parish Centres Christmas Craft Fair, on Tempest Road, Lostock from Crafty Craft Fairs.

The centre will be alive with the fresh smell of Christmas cakes, sweets and fragrant candles, plus stall holders displaying stunning handmade jewellery items and some fantastic handcrafted gifts.

As many people who have found more time available to them have taken to crafting in their spare time there will be opportunities to buy craft supplies on the day also.

Craft fairs and displays are a booming business, with many avenues for selling, including renting small display areas in local retail stores and online craft shops. Market stalls are also a great outlet for many people looking to display and sell hand created items.

Local crafter and business woman, Caroline Ord from “Top That Cards” who specialises in creating stunning figurines from polymer clay to display on celebration cakes, including wedding and christenings, has been attending craft fairs and found an array of local talent from across Lancashire and the Northwest. “I was amazed by some of the fantastic products on offer and the talent at some of the fairs we attended”. Caroline commented. “As soon as I saw what was on offer, I knew that all I wanted to do was let more and more people know these products are widely available so Crafty Craft fairs was born. “

The Christmas fair will get underway at 11am on Saturday 10th December until 4pm at Lostock Parish Centre on Tempest Road and on display will be a selection of goods from handmade cards, gifts and toys, to jewellery, artwork, soaps and freshly baked cup cakes and fudges.

When you buy from a craft fair, you can talk directly to the producer and be sure the product is made to the highest standard. You can also be sure that the sum paid is going to the producer and not to middlemen or on unnecessary packaging. And will make the most perfect gift.
