Bolton is making a very big effort this festive period to entice business back to the town centre. We've spoken about the free parking, we've mentioned the Winter Wonderland with it's Christmas markets and ice-rink, and we've spoken about the excellent Christmas lights currently shining away.
And now they're adding free Wi-Fi and great discounts into the equation.
Bolton Council has teamed up with businesses to attract more people to the town centre over the seasonal period, offering dozens of discounts off their shopping and the bonus of free Wi-Fi. Those supporting the campaign include popular high street retailers, independent stores, leisure companies, and hair and beauty salons.
Discounts will vary from business to business, and will include daily, weekly and monthly offers, from some of the most popular businesses in the town centre, including Marks and Spencer, Crompton Place, The Market Place Shopping Centre, Debenhams, Beales, Boots, Peacocks and Toni & Guy.
To obtain the discounts shoppers can download vouchers from www.boltontowncentre.co.uk, or collect vouchers at the new ‘Bolton Town Centre’ shop on Victoria Square next to JD Sports from November 19. The shop is an empty unit which the council has temporarily converted into an offers shop.
