Half term is coming up in a couple of weeks, and so arises the perennial problem of what to do, and where to go to keep the children busy for the week of their holiday. Naturally, this is an opportunity to relax after the concentration on school work since New Year, there are many opportunities to get active and make good use of the time, whilst chilling out. Here are a few suggestions.
Fidgets Soft Play Centre (Bolton) is fantastic for children! They offer a safe and fun soft play experience where children can take on new adventures whilst the parents have a coffee.
Check out a children’s farm! Smithills Open Farm has 25 different types of animals, you can feed them and hold them if you want to. There’s always so much to do at Smithills Open Farm, to find out more, give them a call on 01204 875831.
Take them swimming. Especially if the weather is not so good, swimming pools are warm and welcoming. Our local pools have half term February Family events on to entertain them, you can join in or have a cuppa and watch. What better time to learn to swim before the summer starts, you know it makes sense.
Leisure centres include sports facilities too, there is lots to do, check out your local Leisure centre for half term activities.
Go cycling, there are many cycle tracks not far from you. Cycling is newly rejuvenated thanks to the successes in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, so why not join in, get healthy and make cycling your family event?
Go for a family ramble, Lancashire and Yorkshire are full of fabulous walks. There are walks and rambles in and around Bolton. You don’t have to go far afield to have a fun day.
Children hate inertia, so give them plenty to do. Enjoy doing things with them and enjoy family time with those people most special to you. Enjoy.
