TAG Bolton will be holding an open day at our Enterprise Centre at 200 Tonge Moor Road, Bolton on Wednesday 7th August between 1pm and 3pm. It is aimed at local business owners and organisations based in the Bolton area, and not members of the public.
The event has been organised in order to inform business of their progress so far and what they are hoping to do in the future.
TAG Bolton is now a community interest company. They were established 4 years ago with a simple agenda in mind, to provide young people living in Tonge with opportunities to learn new skills in a welcoming, fun, caring environment run by local volunteers. They initially started out running media workshops which comprised of Film Making, Journalism, Web Design, Music and so much more.
Over the past 4 years, TAG realised that not only were the young people benefiting from their new venture, the volunteers benefited too, in that they developed skills and aspirations of their own. Many volunteers have gained experience within so many areas that they have gone on further, studying at college, university, getting a job or setting up their own small businesses.
As a result of these successes, it was decided that as an organisation TAG Bolton wanted to help not only the young people in our local community but the adults too.
Over the last few months they have been working with over 20 dedicated volunteers and this has resulted in them starting up their own small businesses of their own and developing work based skills.
The TAG Bolton building is becoming a hub for people to show off their creative skills. These people include local residents, college students ( doing their work placement) and university students all working collaboratively on new inspiring workshops, including Game Development, Live Streaming, Filming, Web Design, Graphic Design, Art and general business skills.
They are inviting local business owners to their open day to share with you:
· The work TAG Bolton do with the young people and volunteers within Tonge
· The differing services that TAG is able to offer
· How TAG and local companies can work in partnership
· How your business/organisation can get involved in the work we do
· To be a networking event for local business and organisation based in Tonge and Bolton.
