Smithills Open Farm is a delightful place to bring the children all year round. There’s so much to see and do that they’ll be entertained for hours on end. Here’s a quick overview of some of the activities on offer.

As we said, Smithills Open Farm is open all year and is only closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. They do children’s birthday parties all year round too.

However, there are often seasonal activities too, like Easter egg hunts, Halloween parties and Christmas fundays and grotto’s.

This Halloween there wil be a fancy dress competition, Halloween disco, haunted travel ride, spooky woodland walk and supper for everybody who attends. They start at 5.45pm, 6.15pm and 6.45pm. this is only £8 per person.

Smithills Open Farm are open between 10am and 5pm, but can open out of hours for group bookings if required. Schools are particular welcome at Smithills Farm as they hold regular educational talks for key stage 1, key stage 2 and foundation students.

It’s not just in the spring where you can meet baby animals at Smithills Open Farm, you can see young creatures throughout the year. You are able to meet feed, stroke, cuddle and touch nearly all of their owls, even snakes and owls!

They are a real working farm so you can watch the staff milking cows.
