The Turton Rotary Duck Race is fast becomming a sought after annual event with £1000's being raised for local charities.

The Duck Race will take place at Bradshaw Cricket Club and see 1000's of the little yellow plastic ducks float down Bradshaw Brook with a race to the finish line and the winning duck giving its owner a £1000 cash prize.

There are several other cash prizes on offer and refreshments will be served at the Cricket Club throughout this really great family fun event.

Thousands of pounds are raised each year by the Duck Race to benefit local Charities, Groups and Organisations. Tickets are sold in advance corresponding to numbered yellow plastic ducks.

Charities, Groups and Organisations are invited  to join them in selling tickets for the race and they retain all monies raised from selling tickets for their own cause.

This year, as the Rotary Club had a surplus from the sponsorship monies over the costs of staging the event, they donated approximately 10% extra to the totals sold by the Charities, Groups, Organisations etc.

If you would like to get involved with the Duck Race, sell tickets or just want more details, contact Jim Turner on 01204  689632
