The Octagon Theatre, Bolton. One of Bolton's finest entertainment venues but not necessarily one that springs to mind when thinking what to do and where to go for a great night out. Its one of those places where you may have been as a child or even once or twice as an adult but then it gets placed as a memory and we forget to go back! Well think again because The Octagon Theatre Bolton is a premier venue for great nights out in Bolton.

Officially opened on 27th November 1967 by HRH Princess Margaret, its first production was Annie and Fannie by Bolton playwright Bill Naughton. The building was constructed for a cost of £95,000 and the money all came from public donation. The theatre currently attracts over 150,000 visitors per year to its performances and services.

With productions such as 'a streetcar named desire', 'love on the dole' and their exciting Christmas production of 'David Copperfield' there really is something for everyone.

Apart from the obvious theatre performances, The Octagon Theatre serves the Bolton community in a variety of other ways from school holiday clubs to various community projects community projects.

The Octagon Theatre Bolton offer a fantastic idea for a Christmas gift that will last much longer than the usual Christmas period. They are offering a Gold, Silver or Premium Season ticket  which give you the opportunity to see many of their productions for an all inclusive price and giving you incredible savings on buying these items individually.

Here at thebestofbolton, we have teamed up with The Octagon Theatre as we can see tremendous value in working alongside one of Bolton's great venues and are proud to announce our launch event will be held in The William Hare Bar on October 13th 2010.
