Christmas is nearly here, and Bolton are really getting into the spirit this year with a huge Christmas Ferris Wheel coming to the town centre.
This 100ft Ferris wheel which seats 144 will be coming to Victoria Square on December 12th, but you can still purchase your tickets from the 28th October to make sure you get there first!
The public have welcomed this Ferris wheel and are hoping that it will attract more shoppers into the town centre over Christmas, and what's even better, local retail bosses have also welcomed this fantastic festive attraction.
Ferris wheels are very popular in other cities such as Manchester and Liverpool, but this one is one of the biggest of its kind, it travels the country every year and when people reach the top, it will offer you a bird's eye view of the countryside.
This Ferris wheel will be set up as part of Bolton Council's bumper festive package, and will also include the very popular ice rink, free Santa's Grotto, real reindeer, street entertainment and market stalls, there will be something for everyone this Christmas!
Tickets can be bought from October 28th from visitbolton.com and in person from box offices on Victoria Square, the wheel will be open from December 12th, Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 7:30pm. Sundays 11am to 5:30pm. Monday to Wednesday from 11am to 5:30pm. The wheel will also be open Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Yearâs Day from 11am to 4pm.
Tickets are £3.50 for adults, £2 for under 16's and £2.50 for senior citizens and students. You can also buy a family ticket at £7 which covers two adults and two children or one adult and three children.
So, who's excited for all the festive fun? I know I am. Have a look at our events page where we will regularly be updating it with the goings on for Christmas!
