As if completing a skydive or running a 10k wasn’t enough for the team at Synergy Dental, Dr Zuber Bagasi has been busy fundraising for charity once again, this time by taking part in a boat race.
24 teams took to the water outside Salford Quays on the 17th August to raise money for The Wish Upon A Star Foundation and together they raised approximately £19,000 for the charity. Dr Zuber joined a team of Bolton School staff in their boat.
There were 17 people in the boat altogether, including a drummer. They took part in 3 heats on a very cold and windy day in Manchester. In the first heat they came third with 56.33, in the second they were second place with 54.37 and in the third and final heat they got 54.15 so were placed first. Although their times were quicker than last years, they weren’t fast enough to reach the semi-finals. Sadly there were some tough competition who posted a time of 47 seconds, but everyone still had a great time regardless.
