Summer Fun Activities In Great Lever
2nd August 2010

Children in Great Lever will be spoilt for things to do in the summer holidays in the Great Lever area of Bolton.

There will be a great and varied programme of activities organised by the council and various partners. The programme runs throughout the school holidays and ends on September 3rd.

Youngsters can get involved and participate in a range of activities to be delivered across four local parks and play areas in Great Lever - Sunnyside, Saint Williams Field, Bobby Heywood and Great Lever Park. Local community centres will also host some sessions.

The activities have been jointly funded by Great Lever Neighbourhood Management; Harper Green Area Forum and Great Lever Area Forum.

The programme also incorporates activities organised by the council’s Children’s Services department and partner agencies including Irwell Valley.

The programme offers football, henna workshops; play and activity sessions; children’s cookery sessions; cricket; street dance and health and beauty. It has been developed after Great Lever Neighbourhood Management carried out a variety of consultation sessions with local youngsters.

For more information contact Gaynor Jones at Great Lever Neighbourhood Management on 01204 331336.
