Alliance Learning and Dentrain Professionals Ltd have launched a new Dental Nursing Apprenticeship which will help address the shortage of qualified dental nurses in the region.

Young people enrolling on the apprenticeship programme will combine paid on-the-job training with study towards the Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing. On completion of the Apprenticeship students will be able to register with the General Dental Council – a legal requirement for anyone wanting to secure employment in the dental industry.

Paul Cocker, Operations Executive at Alliance Learning, said:

“Qualified dental nurses are in high demand across the North West due to the increased numbers of dentists and dental therapists in the sector. The Apprenticeship will help fill vacancies in the dental industry and provide dental surgeries with highly qualified and experienced members of staff.”

The Dental Nursing Apprenticeship will be delivered by both Alliance Learning and Dentrain.  Dentrain have been running training programmes for dental nurses since 1996 and are an accredited training centre for NEBDN and City & Guilds.
