We probably send more parcels and letters around Christmas time than any other time of year, but you need to be aware of when the last posting dates are, so that all your presents and cards get to their destination before the 25th December.
The Royal Mail have put together a handy list so you know exactly when you should be posting them by.
They’ve also set up a handy reminder service so you won’t forget to get to the post box. They’ll send you an email 3 days before and a text message a day before you should be sending the items. Here is the link to that
Here’s a quick rundown of the last recommended posting dates for every continent and country:
Monday 2nd December Airmail to Operational British Forces Post Offices
Wednesday 4th December Asia, New Zealand, Japan and the Far East
Thursday 5th December Australia
Friday 6th December Africa, Middle East, Central America, Caribbean, South America
Monday 9th December Cyprus, Turkey, Eastern Europe
Tuesday 10th December Canada, France, Greece, Poland
Friday 13th December USA and Airmail to Static British Forces Post Offices
Saturday 14th December Western Europe (but not France, Poland or Greece)
Wednesday 18th December UK 2nd Class and Royal Mail Signed For
Friday 20th December UK 1st Class and Royal Mail Signed For
Monday 23rd December Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed
There you have it, there’s no reason to be chasing the postman down the road with your presents now!
