Remembrance Day services will be held across Bolton on Sunday 14th November 2010 to remember the hero's that fought in all of our conflicts across the world but especially the two world wars.

Services will be held in Bolton Town Centre, Little Lever, Dunscar, Farnworth, Kearsley, Horwich, Blackrod, Westhoughton, Atherton, Hindley, Leigh, Tyldesley, Chapletown and Belmont where thousands of people are expected to observe two minutes silence to pay their respects.

The main service will take place in Victoria Square where hundreds of Bolton people are expected to gather. The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr John Byrne will emerge from the town hall at approx 10.56 with veterans and guests before laying a wreath on the war memorial.

A two minute silence will be observed at 11am and the Vicar of Bolton Rev Matt Thompson will say prayers and lead a service of remembrance.
