Who remembers the fantastic IRONMANUK event that Bolton hosted last year? Well its back but this time with the added bonus of IRONKIDS.

IRONMAN UK is dues to take place in Bolton on July 22nd and IRONKIDS is an event for children aged 3 to 15 and will be held the day before the IronMan competition in Bolton.

Unlike the IRONMAN UK competition, IRONKIDS will be a running only event with children aged 3-5 years running 500metres, 6-10years running 1.5km and 11-15years racing 2.7km.

The whole ethos of the competition is based on the young people taking part and not the actual results and this means there will be no prizes incentives.

Each child who completes the race will be given a special IronKids T-Shirt and medal and will be able to complete the race across the office IRONMAN UK finish line.

The race route will use Howell Croft North, Deansgate and Knowlsey Street. A section of Corporation street will also be used before the course returns to Le Mans Crescent via Deansgate.

The finish will be in Victoria Square. Entry is £2 per child or £2.20 for online registration. Parents or guardians can complete an online entry form by visiting The IronKids Website  or can enter in person by visiting Bolton Councils Active Living Unit at Paderborn House.

For further information on the event visit the IRONMAN UK WEBSITE call  01865 596266 or Bolton Council on 01204 332323
