Record turn-out for AFG Law at Bolton Lads and Girls Club

AFG Law hosted May’s business breakfast at Bolton Lads and Girls Club with a record turn out of 109 guests. So much so, the breakfast and presentation by AFG’s Greg French were held in the main sports hall with a backdrop of the club’s 28 foot high climbing wall.

Speakers at the event were Dora Mallott & Kayleigh Dewhurst who spoke to guests about the Club’s latest project – National Citizens Service.  The project, which is part of David Cameron’s Big Society, will see 270 school-leavers from Bolton take part in a 6-week programme in which they will build new skills, take on structured outdoor residential challenges and then give something back to the community through a team-based volunteering scheme.

Karen Edwards, BLGC Chief Executive said, “It was fantastic to see so many supporters at the event, and it was particularly encouraging to see a large number of new faces in the crowd.  We’re really grateful to Adam F Greenhalgh & Co, one of the Club’s longstanding Patrons for sponsoring the event and so allowing us to offer it as a free networking opportunity to our supporters”.
