The money raised as a result of Race For Life allows doctors, nurses and scientists to advance research and treatment to help save the lives of menm women and children across the region.

5km sounds like a daunting distance to a lot of people, but participants can run, walk or dance their way around the Bolton course, in the pink colours of Cancer research. It isn't about beating your fellow competitors, it is about beating Cancer, once and for all.

It is a fantastic cause, as four people are diagnosed with cancer in the region every minute. We're all at risk. If you'd like to enter the Bolton Race For Life, go to raceforlife.org or call 0845 600 6050.
