Almost everyone loves market shopping and we have some fantastic ones in Bolton with the award winning town centre market and the indoor market at Westhoughton, not to mention the farmers and local produce markets going on around the town.

Well Bolton is set to get a new local produce market in Queens Park Bolton to complement its recent refurbishment.

Bolton town centre has been holding local produce markets now for some time and later this month, this market will move to Queens Park.

Seasonal fruits, vegetables, meats and speciality breads and cheeses will be on sale as well as home-baked cakes and savouries.

The market will launch on Sunday May 27th and return every 4th Sunday. The park has been central to Bolton’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.

The park has recently undergone a 1 million pound refurbishment to the grade two-listed lodge building and the new pavilion and now boasts a cafe, activity room and consulting room for the local community.

The market will take place in the park between 10am-2pm
