Paul Campbell of Crompton Way Motors will be taking part in the tough mudder on Sunday 6th October, and as the name suggests, it won’t be an easy challenge for him.

The organisers of the event like to keep the route a secret until about a fortnight before the event, so we can’t tell you exactly where Paul and the rest of the competitors will be running. We do know that it will be on the Cholmondeley Estate in Cheshire, which is packed with ponds, bogs, fields, trees and lakes, which will no doubt make it a difficult and muddy route.

Most people complete the challenge within 4 hours and everyone who finishes will receive the famous orange headband and a pint.  The course is between 10 and 12 miles long, and all the obstacles along it are top secret until the day as well. They might have to climb a 15 foot wall, drag a set of tires for 100 yards or run up to a mile in thick mud.

Once he’s finished, Paul will be going back to his day job at Crompton Way Motors, before he starts his next challenge, a 10 kilometre run for Macmillan Cancer Support. His colleague at Crompton Way Motors, Paul Richards, is doing a charity skydive and all the staff at Crompton Way Motors are involved in the Macmillan Coffee Morning on the 27th September.

Crompton Way Motors have an excellent range of used cars at inexpensive prices available from their garage in Bolton. Finance is available, subject to status, and there are many makes and models to choose from. Contact them on 01204 684043.
